Dyslexia in a child between 5 and 9 can have a devastating impact on the very foundations of schooling that your child needs. It is often tricky to diagnose in a younger child, as they tend to lack the the vocabulary needed to explain exactly what he sees when he looks at text.
It’s even more difficult because at this age he will believe that what he is seeing is identical to what others see when they look at text. He won’t realize that life can be easier, so once parents realize that their child is dyslexic and need some extra help, the other videos in this series are a great place to start.
This video aims to help your young boy understand that the road ahead of him is achievable, and with the right help from parents and teachers, he can be just as successful as the other children around him.
